Yesterday I've watched one episode of "Galactik Football" (yes I know it's for the children, but it's very funny ) in english because I don't found it in french, and I've understood almost all !!!! ( I'm very proud of me, but I know that it's most easy than Smallville and the american's series when the actors "eat" the words ^^ )

Ive lost my words i dun know what i had to say !! Okay lets fall (it's like that to say "laisse tomber" ?) but i agree with u for the chat language !
And.... im happy ive found an old paper of english in my class of 6° n ive laughed front my mistakes !! Ahahaah like "im think" !!

Hey, good job! I've watched TV in French, and although I get the gist of it all, I don't get every little thing... I think the only reason I can keep up so well with The Simpsons and Futurama is because I know them so well in English.

But yeah, not to ruin your accomplishment, but you still made some mistakes...

Oh, god... I can just imagine how bad some of my early French work must have been... I mean, we started out pretty much just listening to really stupid songs that tried to demostrate grammatical things that we didn't grasp until much later...

Also, "fall" is just "tomber"; "laisse tomber" would be "drop".

I don't watch TV in english, because I don't have the goods chanels (canaux?), and I would like to see Harry Potter in ensglish, but I don't like the Brittsh accent ! ._____.

But I read in english, and I understand a lot! =D

Friday I watched The Two Towers in english, with english subtiles, and I can say that for me ... it was very funny
I understood almost all the sentences, but if I did'nt know the french sentences, I think that "je n'aurais" not understood many moments, because the actors speak verry quickly, and so the subtiles are quikly too ^^

Have you ever seen The Lord of The Rings in french, Plume de Faucon ?

Well, I haven't specifically seen The Lord of the Rings in French, but other than occasionally watching some TV channels from Quebec, I've watched some stuff in English with French subtitles on YouTube and I once watched a few episodes of an anime with the Japanese audio and only French subtitles. It was challenging, but fun.

Oww, that's gotta suck... Why would they decide to stop translating stuff into French?

I'm pretty sure they won't stop with English, though. Internationally speaking it's a very widely spoken language, so it opens them up to a large audience. But I've also heard that localisation of their Ace Attorney / Professor Layton crossover hasn't been 100% confirmed, so that might be something to worry about...

Grah, I'm bad at translating single words...

And this is a tricky one, because it can be two completely different words depending on the context. For example, if you're saying someone sings while they work, then "while" would be "pendant". But if you're saying something will take a while, it would mean something more along the lines of "longtemps" or "certain temps".
